Ten Little Dinosaurs is a children’s book by Mike Brownlow and Simon Rickerty about ten little dinosaurs who go on a series of adventures together. Each chapter follows one of the dinosaurs and the other nine as they explore different worlds and come face to face with dangers while trying to make friends and have fun.
Chapter 1: “The Forest” starts out with the dinosaurs first arriving in a mysterious forest and meeting a strange flower in a clearing. Everyone is excited to explore the new place, but they soon find themselves in danger after they get lost in a thick fog. Fortunately, the flower helps them out and leads them to safety.
Chapter 2: “The Nightime” finds the little dinosaurs wondering what night time is like, and if there’s anything they should be afraid of. They’re suddenly startled by a looming figure in the dark and have to use their wits to figure out how to get past the beast.
Chapter 3: “The Race” shows the dinosaurs discovering a race track deep in the forest. They decide to race each other, and through some clever team work, they manage to win the race.
Chapter 4: “The Swimming Pool” contains one of the most comical scenes of the book when the adventurers come across a swimming pool in a hidden cave. As they attempt to swim in it, they’re faced with a giant sea creature that just won’t leave them alone!
Chapter 5: “The Volcanoes” see the dinosaurs heading towards a mountain range full of volcanoes. After some careful navigation, they make it to the top, but disaster soon strikes when one of the volcanoes erupts!
Chapter 6: “The Prehistoric Animals” brings the adventurers to the land of the dinosaurs, where they first meet T-rex. This is the first of many meetings the little dinosaurs have with the king of the dinosaurs, and this initial encounter proves to be a wild one!
Chapter 7: “The Desert” takes the heroes to a hot and dry desert. Here they meet an ostrich who gives them a tour of the land. However, danger lurks around every corner as they also come across a massive sand storm.
Chapter 8: “The Shipwreck” shows the little dinosaurs exploring a sunken shipwreck and trying to find the way back to the surface. Things become even more perilous for them as they’re chased by a giant octopus!
Chapter 9: “The Cave” is perhaps the most action packed chapter of the book. The dinosaurs face off against evil flying creatures and evade a giant boulder in an effort to make it out of the dark and damp cave.
Chapter 10: “The Monster” the final chapter of the book sees the little adventurers facing their greatest challenge when they come across a mysterious and intimidating monster. Together, they have to rely on their friendship and ingenuity to defeat this powerful beast and get back to their world.
